About Patterson Vegetable Company
Patterson Vegetable Co., LLC, is located of the west side of the fertile San Joaquin Valley in California, with a lineage that dates back to 1946. We are vertically integrated from fields to warehousing. Our product line consists of a broad range of conventional, organic, and value-added frozen vegetable items. We are a dedicated corporate brand vendor in retail, foodservice, industrial, and export sectors. We have a global reach and import ingredients from the best producers in Europe, Asia, and Central America. Our company is committed to providing our customers with the finest and most consistent service and quality whether the country of origin is domestic or foreign.
Our product quality reputation is enhanced by the close proximity of our facilities with the local farming operations. Over 70% of the contracted fields are within thirty miles of our processing facilities. Throughout our tenure in the industry we have developed a philosophy that quality starts in the field and we must manage all the critical points from growing to harvesting, and processing to packaging.
Quality Assurance is a philosophy that is shared throughout the company as we passionately believe in providing healthy and nutritious vegetables products at the lowest cost possible without sacrificing safety and quality. Patterson Vegetable Company has written and enforced policies and procedures that track vegetables from farm to customer. Our field representatives monitor the progress of each field working with our growers on seed, varieties, sustainable growing practices, integrated pest management and field condition from planting time to harvest.
On arrival at the plant, product evaluation and monitoring is accomplished through our GMP and HACCP programs, and quality control systems that use USDA standards and customer specifications. We are kosher certified, and our plant undergoes an annual third party audit covering all aspects of food operations and procedures.
We provide a complete EDI (electronic data interchange) system that receives inventories and orders directly from our customers. Also, we can transmit pricing, invoice, and receive payment through our EDI capabilities. Additionally, if the opportunity presents itself, we can provide a Continuous Replenishment Program (CRP) that will maintain minimum inventory levels and optimum service levels.
Our Research & Development team is constantly looking for new items and developing new concepts. A key aspect to our new product development is that we partner with leading ingredient suppliers and innovators for development and testing of new items, sauces, spices, and protein in combination with our vegetable products
